North-American Partnership

Isodetect has started a cooperation evolving smart synergies in the prospection of contaminated sites. Together with our North-American partner SiREM, who provides highest quality testing services and remediation products, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of monitoring tools for site characterization. Particularly, isotope analyis of pollutants (CSIA) and genomic evaluation of microbial degraders (Gene-Trac) are a powerful combination for the development of advanced remediation strategies.

See the features of SiREM here and participate on our joint Webinar on Sept. 30 at 12 PM EDT (due to 18:00 MESZ).

Events and Lectures

  • ISODETECT Workshop, BioCity Leipzig, 07./08. October 2021
    →
Training for experts in soil protection and contaminated sites according to §36 GewO and §18 BBodSchG
“Pollutant Degradation in Contaminated Sites – Detection Methods and Utilization Strategies” – Fundamentals, Details, Laboratory Demonstrations, Practical Exercises
The two-day workshop will cover ten detection methods for the biodegradation of different pollutant profiles (CHC, BTEX, PAH, MKW, pesticides). The basics of isotope processes (component-specific isotope analysis CSIA, BACTRAPS), molecular biology methods (qPCR), GC-MS fingerprinting and laboratory microcosms will be presented. We will conduct laboratory demonstrations and practical exercises. Together with engineering companies, concrete remediation strategies will be discussed that demonstrate the use of pollutant decomposition processes (remediation in connection with MNA, preparation and success monitoring of in situ processes) and the combination of multiple detection methods (multi-line-of-evidence approach).

  • Webinar Integrating CSIA into your Site Management Strategy on Sept. 30 at 12 PM EDT
the Webinar is organized by our Canadian Partner SiREM and  includes a presentation by Dr. Kevin Kuntze & Dr. Anko Fischer of Isodetect, who will draw on their decades of experience to highlight case studies involving CSIA as well as other performance monitoring techniques. They will demonstrate, how CSIA can assist in contaminant degradation assessment and source identification. Dr. Brent Pautler (Chemistry Services Manager, SiREM) will introduce the SiREM – Isodetect partnership and discuss how CSIA can complement SiREM’s other analytical testing services to provide enhanced understanding of contaminant degradation processes and site characterization. Register for participation here.

  • AQUACONSOIL, Antwerpen, 20.-24. Mai 2019

Dr. Kevin Kuntze: “Evaluation of Sources and Sinks for Chiral Pesticides in Groundwater – A Case Study”
Dr. Heinrich Eisenmann: “Advanced Monitoring Tools for In Situ Remediation Measures – Conclusions from 233 Contaminated Site Investigations”
